Hi there, thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Tiffany and I am a licensed psychologist, who provides services in English and Mandarin Chinese. I have been providing therapy since 2007 and have worked in settings that include community mental health clinic, in-patient psychiatric hospital, university counseling center, domestic violence agency and substance abuse treatment facility. The most common issues my clients and I address include anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, cultural adjustments, assertiveness, imposter syndrome, and more. Many of my clients feel out of place, anxious, or depressed without a clear understanding as to why they feel that way. I help them explore themes of identity, trauma, managing conflicting expectations, cultural and generational differences, and assertiveness within the context of power differentials. I value the collaborative nature of the therapeutic relationship and encourage my clients to take ownership of their therapeutic experience. My therapy style is flexible, with each treatment tailored to a specific client''s personality, needs, and level of functioning. I strive to provide a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgmental space for the individuals under my care, regardless of their ethnicity, sexual orientations, immigration status and religious affiliations. My hope is that with the help of therapy, my clients can resolve issues that impede their personal growth and emotional well-being. I also provide a special sliding scale rate for graduate students who are pursuing a degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
